CHRIS ZORICH GRADUATES FROM NOTRE DAME LAW SCHOOL SOUTH BEND, IN, May 19, 2002 - Christopher Zorich, Chairman of The Christopher Zorich Foundation, proudly walked across the stage and received his Juris Doctor from Notre Dame Law School dean, Patricia O'Hara. Zorich retired after a seven year career in the NFL to pursue his law degree in order to further his ability to help those in need. While at The Notre Dame Law School, he was a member of the Black Students Law Association (BLSA) and served clients at the Notre Dame Legal Aid Clinic, a non-profit organization designed to provide free legal assistance to those with minimal resources. "I plan on using my law degree to advance the mission of the Christopher Zorich Foundation and to be an example for those who grew up in similar circumstances as my own." Zorich said. Since its inception in 1993, The Christopher Zorich Foundation has assisted over 100,000 Chicagoans through a variety of charitable, civic and philanthropic endeavors that all share a solid commitment to the realization of human potential - mind, body and spirit. The Foundation's programs include: Care to Share, Chris Zorich & Friends, Holiday from the Heart, Love Grows Here, and The Zora Zorich Scholarships. Established in 1869, The Notre Dame Law School (NDLS) enjoys a rich and proud tradition and reputation for preparing consummate professionals. NDLS aims to educate men and women to become lawyers of extraordinary professional competence who possess a partisanship for justice, an ability to respond to human need and compassion for their clients and colleagues.
