As the only child of a single mother, celebrating Mother's Day was as important to Chris as celebrating his mom's birthday. Accordingly, as a way of honoring his mother and all women, the Love Grows Here program was created to provide women in protective shelters with fresh flower corsages and personal care items delivered Mother's Day weekend. These simple amenities have helped brighten the lives of many women.
The Foundation has expanded the scope of Love Grows Here, in terms of both its contributors and participating shelters. Throughout the year the Foundation provides in-kind donations of linens, clothing, books & perishables to shelters.
Love Grows Here has served over 3,000 women in special circumstances.
